I have been a waterman since the age of three. I grew up swimming on a swimteam on the east coast. My Dad had a small boat when I was a kid and we spent many a day on the Chesepeake Bay. I moved to the west on a scholorship for swimming at UNLV. Moved to Carmel after college and continued my surfing career in Carmel and Santa Cruz. Worked for Hyatt and hit the water every chance I could. Transfered to Palo Alto and continued surfing in Santa Cruz. Got hooked on windsurfing in 84 and even started a windsurfing club called Windpower. Sailed like crazy on the SF bay until my son Connor arrived. Slowed down and started sailing a Sunfish in Redwood Shores. Moved up to a sailing dory in 1999. The Hunky Dory took me all over and I mastered her on the lakes and sloughs of Fremont. Took her on the bay many times too. In late 2000, two friends and I purchased Addiction, a 1981 Newport 30 sailboat. We have sailed all over the bay over the last five years and love this boat.
